All travelers who wish to apply for an Egyptian eVisa need to follow a few simple steps, including:

  1. Fill out the online form: go to the online form on the website and provide all required details, such as your personal data, passport information, and contact details; make sure that the provided data is error-free.
  2. Cover the eVisa fee: choose one of the available methods of online payment and pay the processing fee.
  3. Download your Egypt eVisa: shortly after covering the fee, you should check your email address; the approved eVisa will be delivered to you via email within a few business days.

Once you obtain your Egypt online visa, make sure to print it out and take a copy for your trip to Egypt. Border officials may ask you to present a copy of your visa together with your valid passport.

Types of Egypt Online Visa

Egypt introduced two various types of eVisa. Choose the one that better suits your travel needs:

  • a single-entry visa: an ideal option if you plan only one trip to Egypt; you will be allowed to stay in Egypt for up to 30 days; the visa validity is three months.
  • a multiple-entry visa: the best solution for those who plan to visit Egypt more than once; a visa enables a 30-day stay and remains valid for 6 months.

Validity of the Official Egypt eVisa

Egypt introduced two types of electronic visas, i.e., single-entry and multiple-entry visas. Both visa types entitle a visitor to stay in Egypt for up to 30 days in a row. Nevertheless, the validity period of the visa may differ depending on the selected visa type.

A single-entry Egypt eVisa is issued for three months, and a multiple-entry visa remains valid for six months. In both cases, the visa validity starts from the date of issue.

What is extremely important is that any changes in passport data or its loss make the Egypt online visa immediately invalid. In order to travel to Egypt again, you will need to apply for a new visa and wait for the new visa approval.

Necessary documents

Applicants for an Egyptian eVisa will need to upload the following documents:

  • a digital scan or copy of the valid passport bio-data page (valid for at least 6 months from the date of intended arrival in Egypt);
  • face picture (phone or PC camera photos are acceptable).

Additionally, to apply for an Egypt online visa, you may be asked to provide:

  • an invitation letter issued by the company in Egypt that you plan to cooperate with (only if traveling for business);
  • an invitation letter written by a family member you plan to visit (only if the travel purpose is a family reunion)

Other important information about Egypt online visa

  • A traveler's passport cannot expire within at least 6 months from the planned arrival date in Egypt.
  • Every traveler must apply for an Egypt online visa separately - applications for underage travelers must be made by their parents/legal guardians.
  • The Egyptian online visa cannot be extended - its validity is either 90 or 180 days, and its holder can stay in Egypt for up to 30 days.
  • Some nationalities can provide a valid ID card instead of a passport to apply for a visa for Egypt online, including nationals of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland.
  • In case of passport loss, damage, or change of data, eVisa to Egypt automatically expires.
  • Egyptian online visa does not cover employment purposes. It can be used only for business-related purposes such as contract negotiations or handling business affairs.
